Madden 27 team ratings vs our model vs the market
All 32 Madden 27 launch ratings, ranked — next to our play-by-play power ratings and our own season projection. Three independent views of the same league, none of which can see the other two.
Where all three agree, that's about as much confirmation as preseason offers. Where one disagrees with the other two, it's usually the outlier — and those are listed below. We simulated the season 10,000 times on these ratings →

Madden 27 ratings — frequently asked
What are the Madden 27 team ratings?
Madden 27's team rating is a composite of the individual player ratings on each roster. We build ours from the top-rated starters in nine position groups — quarterback, running back, receiver, tight end, offensive line, pass rush, linebacker, secondary and special teams — then average those nine into one team number. Baltimore rates highest for 2026 at 84.6, followed by San Francisco at 84.6 and Detroit at 84.3.
Which team is best in Madden 27?
Baltimore, by our composite of the launch ratings — 84.6, with a 94-rated quarterback. San Francisco and Detroit are effectively tied behind them. Simulating the full 2026 season ten thousand times from those ratings alone, Baltimore wins the Super Bowl most often at 9.4%.
Do Madden ratings agree with prediction markets?
Broadly, yes. Comparing simulated win totals from Madden ratings against the Kalshi win-total ladder for all 32 teams gives a correlation of about 0.79 and an average gap under one win. The disagreements are the useful part — where EA rates a roster very differently from how real money prices its season. On whether the ratings are accurate in the first place, we backtested 20 years of them against real NFL results.
How is this different from just reading the Madden ratings?
A ratings list tells you what EA thinks. This page puts that next to two things EA cannot see: our own power ratings, built from roughly 1.3 million plays of play-by-play, and live Kalshi win-total prices set by traders. Where all three agree you can be fairly confident. Where one disagrees with the other two, that one is usually the outlier.
