Dane filmed this hoping the market was wrong about Taylor. The market answered a day later — by flipping to Mallory.
When he recorded on August 24, Taylor Brown — the futures play this desk has been on since she traded at 3¢ — was the 47% favorite to be evicted in Week 7, with Mallory Aurichio second at 42% despite never being an original nominee. Twenty-four hours later, Kalshi has Mallory at 57¢ and Taylor down to 42¢. The renomination isn't official until the veto ceremony airs. The market has already priced it.

The Position
Market: Who gets evicted in Big Brother 28, Week 7? (Kalshi · KXBIGBROTHERELIMINATION-26AUG27)
Dane's read on tape (Aug 24): Taylor Brown the favorite at 47%, Mallory Aurichio second at 42%, Drew Campbell 18%
Live board now (Aug 25): Mallory Aurichio 57¢, Taylor Brown 42¢, Drew Campbell 15¢
The trade: the board is re-running last week's playbook — pricing a veto move before the ceremony airs. If you believe the tell, Mallory at 57¢ is the market being early again. If you think the house turns on the middleman instead, Drew at 15¢ is the asymmetric one.
Resolution: live eviction, expected Thursday, August 27
Nothing below is a projection. Every number is a Kalshi price, snapshotted where dated.
Week 7, On the Record
The state of the house, per Dane's read and the live-feed reporting behind it:
- Head of Household: Dee Valladares — again. Her second HOH of the season pushed her winner contract to 29% on tape.
- The BB Bribe, round two: Dee originally wanted Taylor, Lala and Yash in danger. Yash stayed off the block for one reason — he accepted the BB Bribe on her second offer and promised not to nominate any of the Icons if he wins HOH again. Last time an Icon offered him the money, he turned it down and nominated her anyway.
- Original nominations: Taylor and Lala.
- The market's tell: Lala's elimination contract collapsed to roughly 4% while Mallory — not on the block — became the favorite. The only mechanism that explains both moves at once is a Power of Veto pulling Lala off and Mallory going up as the renom.
- The precedent: this is the second consecutive week the board has front-run a veto ceremony. Last week it priced the Diamond Power of Veto play before the episode aired — and it was right.
- The Drew undercurrent: Dee tried to blow up Drew's game in front of the house, and more houseguests are clocking that he's playing all sides. He's 15¢ to go — the price the vote lands on if the Mosh Pit cracks.
The Receipt: Dane's Tape vs. the Live Board
Same honesty rule as last week — here's what has held and what has moved in the day since he filmed:
| Contract | Dane's read (Aug 24 tape) | Live board (Aug 25) | Move |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mallory Aurichio | 42% — "the anticipated veto reflected in the markets" | 57¢ | favorite now — the tell strengthened |
| Taylor Brown | 47% favorite — "I do not like the idea of Taylor at 47%" | 42¢ | sliding, exactly what Dane hoped for |
| Drew Campbell | 18% — "could get found out" | 15¢ | the sneaky value got cheaper |
| LaTrice "Lala" Verrett | ~4% — "probably not on the block for eviction" | not among the quoted favorites | veto pull-off priced in |
Dane's structural read — a veto is coming, Mallory is the renom, and the number to distrust is Taylor's — is so far aging well. His rooting interest and his read pointed the same direction this week, and the board moved toward both.
Big Brother 28 Winner Board — Yash Finally Has a Price
Zoom out to the season and the outright market is quoting three names as of August 25:
| Houseguest | Price | Book (Yes/No) | Move |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dee Valladares | 25¢ | 25¢ / 76¢ | already off her 29% post-HOH high |
| Rick Devens | 16¢ | 16¢ / 85¢ | the "too big a threat" discount continues |
| Yash Patel | 11¢ | 11¢ / 90¢ | newly quoted — no listed price a week ago |
That third row is the receipt worth framing. At the Week 6 snapshot, Yash, Taylor and LaTrice — the three names Dane and this desk have flagged as the season's value since they were pennies — had no individual quotes at all. Yash now trades at 11¢. The market caught up to the thesis enough to put a number on it.
The fade thesis is unchanged: Dee and Devens together still absorb roughly 40¢ of winner probability, and Dane's argument is the same one he's made all season — a jury is not handing another $750,000 to someone who already won Survivor's million, and Devens wears the biggest competition-threat target in the house. If that 40¢ is dead money, it has to leak somewhere, and the somewhere is new blood: Yash with his BB Bribe bridge to the Icons, Taylor if she survives Thursday, Lala priced like an afterthought.
The Actual Edge This Week
Three facts, stripped down:
- The market front-ran the ceremony twice in two weeks. The Diamond Veto call last week and the Mallory renom this week both showed up in prices before broadcast. Whatever the channel — feeds, Reddit, inside information — this board is fast, and fading its structural calls has been the losing side.
- Mallory at 57¢ is a comp-beast price, not a certainty. Dane's own caveat: Mallory can win her way out of trouble, and the BB Blockbuster gives a nominated player one more escape hatch. Fifty-seven cents pays you 43 to disagree with a move that hasn't even happened yet.
- Drew at 15¢ is the house-turns scenario. If Taylor or Mallory wins the Blockbuster, the vote has to land somewhere — and the houseguest everyone just watched get called out for playing all sides is the natural landing spot. That's the low-cost, high-payout branch of this week's tree.
The honest structure: this week is less about one contract and more about the shape — the market says Mallory, the variance says respect the Blockbuster, and the tail says Drew.
The Downside (Be Honest About It)
The tell can be early and still wrong. Pricing a renomination before the ceremony is an inference from feeds and chatter. If the veto isn't used — or is used differently — the 57¢ favorite resets hard.
Taylor at 42¢ is not safe. She's still an original nominee on the block of an HOH who wanted her up. Our futures position gives this desk a rooting interest — that's disclosed, and it's exactly why the receipt table above grades the read, not the hope.
Mallory and the Blockbuster. Two escape competitions (veto aftermath, Blockbuster) between now and Thursday mean this board can flip again — it already flipped once in 24 hours.
The winner-board fade is a season-long trade, not a this-week trade. Dee at 25¢ can keep winning HOHs and keep looking like a favorite for weeks before a jury ever gets a say.
Big Brother contracts are binary and fast-resolving. This market settles Thursday night. There's no runway to be patient with a wrong read.
Sizing It
Quarter-Kelly or less, and treat the week as a basket, not a conviction position — this board moved 15 points in a day on zero aired footage. Run any entry through the Kelly and EV Calculator tools first, and use limit orders: Big Brother spreads are wide enough that lifting the offer costs real edge.
How to Take the Position
- Open the Big Brother 28 Week 7 elimination market on Kalshi and the Season 28 winner market.
- If you're with the market's tell, Mallory is the favorite — but at 57¢ the entry is late; the value was the 42¢ Dane quoted on tape. Consider the shape instead: small Drew at 15¢ against the chaos branch.
- On the season board, Yash at 11¢ is the first chance to buy the new-blood thesis at a quoted price since it was pennies. Watch for Taylor and LaTrice to reappear as individually-quoted contracts — Taylor surviving Thursday is the catalyst.
- Re-check both boards immediately after the veto ceremony airs and again after the Blockbuster. Those are the two moments this week when the market's information advantage resets.
