How the NBA prop price board works

Kalshi's “25+ points” contract settles on 24.5, so it sits beside a book's over/under 24.5 — YES is the over, NO is the under. A venue only counts when it quotes that exact strike. Games leave the board at tip, so a price here is always pre-game.

Kalshi charges a trading fee on each fill, not on winnings: 7% × contracts × price × (1 − price), rounded up to the cent, so it peaks at 1.75¢ per contract on a 50¢ contract and shrinks toward zero at the extremes. It is paid at entry whether the position wins or loses; there is no settlement fee. Resting (maker) orders pay no fee on most standard markets. Educational analysis, not financial advice. Trade responsibly.

NBA player props on Kalshi — frequently asked

What is the NBA prop price board?

A live table of every NBA player-prop strike Kalshi lists — points, rebounds, assists and threes — set beside DraftKings, FanDuel, BetRivers, Fanatics, ESPN, Novig, ProphetX at the exact same strike, with the cheapest venue on each side highlighted. Kalshi's price includes its per-contract taker fee, so the comparison is all-in.

Why is Kalshi sometimes cheaper than the books?

Kalshi is an exchange: the price is set by traders on both sides of an order book, and the only cost is a small per-contract fee. A book builds its margin into both sides of the line. On some strikes that margin makes the book the more expensive side; on others the Kalshi book is thin and the book wins. The board shows which, strike by strike.

When does Kalshi list NBA player props?

Close to tip-off on game days. Kalshi lists player-prop contracts in the hours before a game, and book ladders are pulled in the 12 hours before tip, so the board fills through the afternoon. Games drop off the board at tip — in-play prices are never shown.

Does this include a projection?

No. The board is market prices only — no model, no projection and no recommendation. It answers one question: where is each side of this contract cheapest right now.

How is "cheapest" calculated?

Every price is converted to cents per $1 of payout. Kalshi is its ask plus the per-contract taker fee; a book or exchange is its raw implied price. YES means over the strike, NO means under. A venue only counts when it quotes the exact same strike — nothing is interpolated.
