Three things have to be wrong for this not to land. (1) Vrabel's Patriots have no proven WR1 and a quarterback who needs a separator — every offseason report has them shopping at the top of the market. (2) Eagles cap structure on A.J.'s extension makes a post-June-1 trade a clean cost-saver, and the front office hasn't denied the smoke. (3) A.J. himself has gone public asking for a path forward, which historically precedes a move inside 60 days. Market priced this at 87¢ a week ago and pulled back to 81¢ on no real news — that's noise, not a signal. Fair value sits in the high 80s if anything, and exit on confirmation report (not settle) prints ~12% on capital. Half-Kelly at Dane's conviction level is ~20% of a unit. Risk: Eagles eat the cap and force him to play out the deal — real but small.
