About this video

Four winning teams, one division, and nobody clears 12 wins. Coach Gene Clemens and CJ (Chris James of Chopping It Up with CJ) break down every NFC North win total for 2026 — Lions, Bears, Packers, Vikings — with The 7 Oracles model number next to CJ's own win index, and where the two disagree. What's inside: ▸ Lions — 11+ wins? 7OP says 9.8. CJ's index: 9.64. Both lean NO. The week 6 bye means Detroit has to be 4-1 out of the gate, and the schedule ends with three road division games they could go 0-3 in. ▸ Bears — 10+ wins? 7OP 8.9, CJ 8.87 — and CJ throws a flag on the whole market. Chicago can be a better team with a worse record. Six coin-flip wins last year don't repeat. Gene's call: 8-9 or 9-8. ▸ Packers — 10+ wins? 7OP 9.8, CJ's index 8.82 but a 10-7 record. Micah Parsons isn't 100% until week 5-6, the back half is brutal (Rams, Saints, Bills, Texans, Detroit), and the play is to take the NO now and press after the first four games. ▸ Vikings — 9+ wins? The widest gap on the board. 7OP has them at 7.2. CJ has them at 10 wins and won't budge: last year was the floor and they still went 9-8 with the worst QB play in football. Brian Flores + Kevin O'Connell win nine games on coaching alone. The whole position hinges on one thing — is it Kyler Murray or JJ McCarthy under center? Plus: why the NFC North is the bizarro NFC South (someone has to finish fourth at nine wins), how these four front offices have avoided overpaying pass catchers, and the bill coming due — Jahmyr Gibbs wanting new CMC money, Caleb Williams' extension starting at $70M, and Rome Odunze's future in Chicago. ⏱ Chapters (approximate — adjust to your cut) 0:00 Hall of Fame game & who actually loves football 4:30 Lions: 11+ wins? 11:30 Bears: 10+ wins? 17:30 Packers: 10+ wins? 23:00 Vikings: 9+ wins? 27:00 Why the NFC North is the most balanced division in football 30:30 The bill comes due: Gibbs, Caleb, Odunze 🔮 Everything we do lives at 📊 Model numbers, edge tools & the full track record: 📈 Trade these markets on Polymarket: 📈 Or on Kalshi: Follow CJ: @CJFlorida9 — Chopping It Up with CJ (Season 6 out now), Turf Talk Thursdays, Fantasy Football Fridays, Make Good Mondays, Weak Side Wednesdays, plus Fantasy Focus Weekly on PIX11 in the NY tri-state area. Coach Gene Clemons and Chris James open Fade the Field Episode 16 on the Hall of Fame game and the difference between loving football and loving what football offers, then break down 2026 win totals for all four NFC North teams. Detroit Lions: the 11+ wins contract trades near 53 cents, the 7 Oracles Prediction model projects 9.8 wins and Chris James' independent win index lands at 9.64, with both hosts on the no. The case is schedule shape — a Week 6 bye that requires Detroit to be 4-1 beforehand, and three road division games in the closing month they could lose outright. Chicago Bears: the 10+ contract trades near 47 cents, model 8.9, win index 8.87, and the hosts' verdict is no position at all. Chicago won roughly six coin-flip games last season and can be a better football team with a worse record; the layup games are at home and the difficult ones are on the road. Green Bay Packers: the 10+ contract trades near 54 cents, model 9.8, win index 8.82 against a 10-7 record projection. Micah Parsons is not expected back at full strength until Week 5 or 6 and the closing stretch is brutal, so the play is the no now with a plan to reverse after the first four games. Minnesota Vikings: the 9+ contract trades near 55 cents and this is the widest model-market gap on the board at 7.2 projected wins, but both hosts sit above their own model. Chris James projects 10 wins on the argument that last season was the floor and Minnesota still went 9-8 with the worst quarterback play in the league, behind Brian Flores' defense and Kevin O'Connell's staff. Gene Clemons makes the position conditional on the quarterback: over if Kyler Murray starts, under if JJ McCarthy does. The episode closes on why the NFC North is the most balanced division in football, how these four front offices avoided overpaying at receiver, and the contracts coming due for Jahmyr Gibbs, Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze.
