Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another edition of Fadefield Podcast. I'm Coach Jean Clemens, joined as always by my guy CJ. That is Chris James at CJ Florida 9. CJ, we're here. No more future. Well, I mean, I guess some futures like no more no more prognostication. Well, I guess we're going to prognosticate. But there's real football, right? We're not We don't have to wait. We don't have to sit around for weeks. We We're back to real football, which means it's time to get your portfolios in order so that you can take advantage of the football season. How are you doing, man? I'm making it. I'm glad to be here. Post preseason, the 53man cuts have happened. All the other stuff, injury, suspensions, all the story lines. Now we get kickoff less than 48 hours from now. Um, just so that we're just so that we're clear, um, earlier today, the New York Giants announced that they were cutting longtime wide receiver, longest tenure giant Darius Sllayton. I would say it was in a salary cap move, but they're only saving $3 million of his 13 million, most of which were guaranteed. And to me, this says Malik Neighbors is playing week one. And that's why it's important what we're what we're talking about because I think that Malik Neighbors playing in week one will affect the line. Malik Neighbors playing in week one will affect the props for a guy like Jackson Dart. It will affect the props for a guy like Isaiah likely. Um, it will it will affect the rushing props if you're on the Scatabo bandwagon to start the season because we know that he is going to be the son in which this offense, you know what I'm saying, is around like he they might say that Jackson Dart is the leader and that's all cool and everything, but we know as if Malik Neighbors is playing at his elite level, he's going to draw the gravity. or he's going to be that thing that draws in draws people in like gravity, right? And we've seen in this newest edition of the NFL with the MVP award is strictly a quarterback award. Offensive player of the year is become strictly a best at least for that season receiver in the NFL award. Malik Neighbors has that level of talent to your point, the gravity that's drawn. And on the ste on the Sllayton side, the Darius Sllayton side, there might have been a situation where they couldn't trade him. They wanted to make sure that they figured something out. It didn't work out contractually. He probably wanted to go somewhere where he get more play time. And so this gives him the opportunity to al also go negotiate with teams and get on a roster maybe like the Raiders or some place like that where he can play. And the Giants have their setup on their end. Yeah. And and and if I'm being honest, if we're just talking personally about it, like he deserve better than this. This is a guy who's held down the Giants. like he's the guy he's a guy who as Giants fans kicked his back in nonstop year after year. He was the one defending other other players. He was the one defending the organization. Like when somebody's willing to do that, yeah, you paid him and a lot of people will say, "Well, the money is blah blah blah." But it's not like they gave him a hundred million contract. They gave him a $38 million contract. That's a lot different. They to me if they if they knew that he wasn't going to be in their future, they owed it to him to cut him on cut down day and allow him to to to be able to go out there and pick a spot while people were still thirsty to to to fill roles where he could have a chance of being effective week one. This essentially makes him a no-go week one in most cases because anywhere he goes, he's going to have two days to get a game plan and to to understand the playbook. So now, if you've got him in fantasy, if you have if you're thinking about props with him, if you're thinking about him and his impact on the team, what if he goes to Kansas City, a lot a team that a lot of people think needs another proven wide receiver, it's probably week two, maybe even week three before he has a chance to have some type of effectiveness. 100%. The only positive that's gained or gleaned from this for Sllayton himself is that he gets to see the landscape and really doesn't have to make that push to try to get in the door. And if he's able to get acclimated by week three with someone, he can cook however he needs to cook. Yeah, you're right. You're right. Let's get started with our topics for the day. First down, first quarter, excuse me. I have to edit this out. And our first one is who will lead the NFL in passing TDs this year? Um, who's the guy that you're looking at that you believe will lead the NFL in passing TDs this year and and and the value you find in it? Sure. So, I have several guys. I'm going to go with the guy who's the safest bet and it's based on two factors. Uh, it's going to be because that offense can score points in bunches. It has in the past. It will continue to in the future. And their secondary will allow a lot of points. And that's Jared Goff. Jared G can pro probably actually get past 40 passing touchdowns this season if things go the Detroit Lions way, especially with their schedule. And right now he's trading at this moment 7.25x. Okay. Passing touchdown passing touchdown leaders um Jared Golf 7.25x 11 cents um on on Koshi as we speak right now. And and do you think it's just a situation where you know his um is it is it just that he his offense is what it is or does it also have to be a product of what his defense is not? Yeah. So the guys that I picked in this order and I also mixed and matched them with their odds. You need to have a quarterback in an offense that's conducive to scoring points and you have to have a defense that's not high level. You can't be in these 24 21 games because you might be able to run the ball less possessions etc. So you need a defense that's not up to snuff and an offense that is more than willing to throw the ball especially near the the goal line which some offenses don't do. Yeah. Now the interesting part is is that Joe Burrow is um the odds favorite, right? like he's it's a 17% chance he's trading that 17 cents. That's still great value. Um what if if Joe Burrow was not to lead the league in touchdowns? What would be the reasoning their defense is actually worth a dog on this year? Remember that defense was horrible the first half of last season. It got a lot better as those young guys caught on, but it continued to metriculate in a in a good direction. So if that continues over, they can make some stops. They won't be forced to throw the ball as much in the past and they can actually run the ball at points in time instead of trying to just push up the numbers. Now, there was a name that you gave me um for this and I didn't think about it until until you said it, but it was Jordan Love. Tell me why you like this why you like Jordan Love so much right here as as um for most passing touchdowns. So I just stated how you get to that number, but there's so many things that fell in line for him. He's been escalating as far as a player from the perspective of being trusted by his own head coach. We saw in that playoff game last year if they didn't go silent and dark with the passing game and just go to the run, I think they could have kept scoring. So that's one. two, the whole situation with that backfield, I don't think that they try to be a ground and pound team because they don't know how often they'll have Josh Jacobs. So, it will hinge on that. I don't think Marshall lean on Bellcow back. And then number three, no Michael Parsons for at least the first six weeks. So, that means they will be in shootouts. He will push the pace. They may be forced to score a bunch of touchdowns. And he's a guy I could see scoring 41 touchdowns this year uh in an aggressive offensive pace. Yeah. I think the the funny part about this is everyone just thinks that they're just going to bring the next running back up and and while Marshon Lloyd like I think he's I think he's good. Like I don't think he's a bad back. I don't think they're going to give him 310, you know what I'm saying, carries like they like they were out there horning out Josh Jacobs, right? Like so just from that standpoint alone, you're going to have to revert back to the the passing game. Not to mention, they invested a first round pick in Golden. You got to see what you got there. They just paid Watson um money. So, like you're you've got investments. You're getting back your your your your number one tight end and Tucker Craft at some point. If he's on a pitch count, that means you're going to have multiple tight ends. You're getting the ball. Two. you've cleared out some of the like the the redundancies in the wide receiver room that made it harder for you to get better continuity, better like connections with individual receivers. So, it might be one of those additions by subtractions with the receiving core that allows Love to have a better connection to them. And if they end up in shootouts in the NFC North, which they will outside of possibly like the Minnesota game, a lot of touchdowns to be had, right? I like 100% the fact. I like it. I um you know I I really again it's hard for me to go away from the favorites in here because of at this time of year the value that you get on all of them right that Prescott trading that you know getting him for 14 cents. Um Justin Herbert um I don't even like it but but he's he's Mr. Empty calorie stats when he's you know what I'm saying when the when the year is all over. So, um, that's going to be interested in a new offense where Harbaugh may not have his fingerprints on it as much as he's had in the past where they just kind of turn around and hand the ball off all the time. Matthew Stafford is not coming back to the NFL to hand the ball off all all day. He's not going to hand the ball off to Ky. He's going to throw the ball all over the place. He's going to have his full complimental receivers. So for these guys to be trading at 13 cents and 14 cents, like it's hard to get away from those guys. Jared Goff not that far behind. And then there's Patrick Mahomes. And we know that that alien is just sitting back going, "Oh, word." Yeah. Oh, yeah. So y'all ain't y'all ain't talking about me? Yeah. So I'm not I'm not the favorite anymore. I'm not a I'm not him. Oh, I'm coming off injury. So y'all think I'm Watch this. Watch this. And I could imagine a world where Patrick Mahomes comes out and reminds us mere mortals what what true alienike DNA looks like when he's out there. Cuz there's no way he should be running around making flick of the wrist throws at at you know right now what six months after knee surgery. But he is because he's himight. And when you're him, you do things that us regular people can't do. Yeah, he is always a good choice to have in any sort of prop situation because you never know what can happen with him and we've seen him throw 50 touchdowns before. There's also another guy who's playing in a division where I think they'll have to score a lot and if he's healthy through the season, throw some some money on Brock Pury. 15.6x your money. That defense is isn't what it used to be. combined with I think they're going to run the ball near the goal line with Christian McCaffrey like that. They'll do Texas routes with him. Get him out on on the outside swings. He'll probably catch more touchdowns than he runs for this year, which is an insane thing to say, except it almost happened last year. I about to say it. It It happens all the time. Um let's let's clean it up. Patrick Mahomes trading currently at 8 at eight at 8 cents, excuse me. Brock Pery at 6 cents. Great value. So you like Jared Goff. Um, your your sneaky play is Jordan Love. Is that if if you had to say that? Yes. Sneaky player Jordan Love. Um, I really like I really like a guy like Dak Prescott. Um, because, you know, they just throw the ball over the place. You got two He's the only guy who has Well, I shouldn't say that. He's the only guy who has two number one wide receivers that act like number one wide receivers all the time. I think I think Cincinnati has two number one wide receivers. Yeah. But Higgins has a lot more humility than what than what George Pickins has. George Pickkins wants you to know I'm better than CD Lamb. Like in in George Pickins mind, he's the number one wide receiver. In T. Higgins mind, he knows Jamar Chase is the number one wide receiver. And and I think that's the difference. Let's go on to the Let's go on to the next one. And this one is is good. I think it's a pretty straightforward one. I when we're talking about futures, we want to make sure we're giving you futures on on what the hot button things are, what people are investing in, and that's who will be the NFL MVP this year. It's always it's always a a conversation, if you will. Always a conversation about who will be, who won't be. Um, but ultimately the MVP winner is going to be a quarterback. The question just becomes which quarterback is it going to be? Who's who's your choice right now out the gate? So, narratives drive this award just like any, but more than any other NFL award, this specific one. Lamar Jackson could cook this year, throw 50 touchdowns, and unless they go undefeated, they're not going to give him a third. Josh Allen could actually do pretty well this year, and he's already won one that some people may or may not think he deserved. The easy choice from a narrative perspective, if that team is even sniffing being good, is Joe Burrow. But I have an alternative to Joe Burrow. I'mma sit here and I'mma tell you Justin Herbert and my rationale is no one has been supported more than Justin Herbert in this NFL and now that he has that offensive guru that we've talked about. If they start winning games, I'm putting my money there, especially in this market because everything will escalate and climb and he's uh I think he's more than 10x your money. So Justin Herbert is a guy who I'd put a little coin on right now because that narrative can be driven to death over the the course of the season. Justin Herbert trading that 9%. You know how I feel about Justin Herbert. Um the the master of the empty C. He's the new master of the empty calories. um you know that that used to be reserved for Matthew Stafford and then Stafford went to a team that was willing to put an elite level defense and spend every last waking like morsel of draft capital to make sure he had what he needed to be successful and they were that one time and so now um he doesn't get to wear that that moniker anymore especially because he's won an MVP he's kind of been you know cemented here's mine And I'm I'm kind of on the same track that you're on. And I just want to hear what you say about it because he's currently trading at 6%. No, sorry, 4%. Currently trading at 4%. Trevor Lawrence. Trevor Lawrence down in Jacksonville. If Trevor Lawrence puts together a full season of work like he did the second half of last season where he all of a sudden remembered that he could run. And and isn't it amazing that the Russian stuff, by the way, sidebar, isn't it amazing that the Russian stuff is always the stuff that that unlocks the full potential of the quarterback to be great? And yet every time we turn around, people are trying to use the fact that some quarterbacks run as a disc. I digress. Um, last year when he unlocked that rushing and decided that I wasn't going to try to force feed the ball to any one wide receiver, I was just going to throw the ball to whoever was open. It just completely opened up for him. I could see a world in a a narrative in this world where a a Trevor Lawrence who people thought was damaged goods um got his money didn't really live up to the hype of the contract of that of that second contract early on but then figured it out under a new head coach um second half of the year and then rides that wave into this year in what is not a very like aggressive AFC AFC AFC South, right? Like there's some there there's a there's one team there, right? But outside of that one team, like ain't nobody else nobody care about the Indianapolis Colts like and what they're doing. So I think there's an opportunity for them to have for him to have that type of season that puts him in the conversation if they're winning. Right. From a monetary standpoint, it makes a lot of sense because you're getting it at a low before this conversation starts. I think the Justin Herbert conversation already has. Their schedule could be a problem. Like I can see him 10 and seven or 11 and 16. But especially if you're in Florida, you're a Jacksonville Jaguars fan. Put some money down. Why not? You you want to catch the wave when it's not crested, not going over yet. So, this is a good time to catch it. You could trade this in if things start to go south later in the season. But let that noise start to get a little louder and maybe you can make a little money back off it. I just want to throw a really aggressive one out there. We talked about passing touchdowns. How about Jared Goff with their schedule? What if they go 14 and three or 15-2? And unlike the Rams where they have a super like the Avengers, what do you have here? It goes to a quarterback anyway. So why not take the quarterback on a team that could score all the points, go 14 and three. And Jared Golf, you know, he could be a good enough story at 31x your money. I was about to say trading at 31x. And again, I want people to understand this when we're talking about this stuff. It doesn't matter if these guys win. This is not this is not sports betting. And this is what I keep trying to get people to understand why I'm so in love with prediction markets. Not that I not that I have a hate for sports betting because a lot of our information people use over in that world. Like I get it. We're giving out information to help you help you, you know, invest in your portfolio and that portfolio could win you some money on that other side. I get it. But let's say that let's say that the Lions get off to a fast start, right? And eight games into the season, they're sitting at seven and one, six and two. And the Jared Golfer MVP, like rumblings are bubbling. And he's gone from, you know, he's gone from what is right now a three cents a share to say 25 cents a share. Cash out. Cash out. It's that simple. like if if you get a chance to make to make money, right? To see your your investment um mature anywhere uh what what would that be? 7x. If you're getting 7x your return, right? If he goes from 3 cents a share to 25 cents a share, you're getting 7 7.15 something like that. You're the you're the math dude. Like, yeah, it's somewhere within, right? you're getting you're getting that type of return on your money. Like why would you not just go ahead and cash that in because you know you can't predict who's going to win, right? Like a lot of I I think an interesting name for for a guy to win it is easily Drake May at 8 cents because he was on the he was on the trajectory to win it last year. It gave him a wide receiver, you know, upgrade. He has the same kind of whack schedule that he had last year really outside of maybe a couple teams that are better. Their their schedule was a little tougher this year. I mean, it is still playing the same division, right? They still they're still playing the same division. It's not like it's the toughest thing to go through Miami and New York and even Buffalo's defense isn't scaring anybody. So, it's like he could have a similar season to 2025 and the because the narrative was he should have won it in 2025 or he could have won it in 2025. They give it to him in 2026. But if he's trading at 8 at 8% right now and he's trading at 42% by the time we get to Christmas, cash out. Like that's the whole that's the beautiful thing about about this. And so I just want people to know I know I'm ranting, right? I I know I'm ranting. It's cool. Yeah. Yeah. No, straight line. Yes. 8.33. I agree with you. Again, these narratives drive things. And you can even do it like this. Sometimes you take a double on a stock, right? You take one investment, you make the same investment at another point in time. If you want to sell that one before Christmas and ride the other one out, well, you can get the maximum value on one and you already made your return plus on the other. So, it's just one of those situations where you can kind of double dip and make some money back. And I I like this whole setup and scenario, especially with something like the MVP and quarter three, who will lead the NFL in rushing touchdowns? We just got to get here um to start with because when you sent me this I thought you like I thought it was a joke, right? Um but Derek Henry, who by the way on couchi markets is the favorite, right? Is the favorite to lead the league in rushing touchdowns, but he's still trading at like seven like seven and a little over 7x. like how is this possible? So, I I think that there's again, you're doing this against people in the market. There's people who say father time's going to catch up. He's too old. There's people who say the change in offensive scheme is is a reason for this. He doesn't have competition in the backfield. One, two, he's Derrick Henry. He's not a real person. Go look at his entire resume going back to high school, probably even before that. And then three, the offense that came in is still structured on the run game. What are we doing? And Lamar Jackson isn't like uh Josh Allen or uh Jaylen Herz. He doesn't run near the goal line. That's a Derk Hamry thing. So, he is an advantageous play for some of the guys that are up there. Yeah, I was I was I was talking with someone else about this earlier um in the or last week, excuse me. The the difference between Lamar Jackson is he really and truly doesn't care about his stats. If Lamar Jackson cared about his stats, the league would be like he would be putting up video game numbers all the time. His he would rush for 15 plus touchdowns every year and it would never look like the Josh Allen Jaylen Herz rushing touchdowns. It would be an 11 yard touchdown run, a nine yard touchdown run, a six yard touchdown run. It wouldn't be a whole bunch of one yard, two yard touchdown runs like Josh Allen. And I'm saying it because people act like he doesn't do it like Josh Allen and Jaylen Herz, right? Cuz if we can admit that Jaylen Herz does it, you guys can admit that Josh Allen does it just as much, if not even more now. And of course they should. He's 6'6, 240 lbs. Yes, they should do that. But um and stop comparing him to Cam Newton. Y'all, y'all look y'all sound ridiculous. Cam Newton never did that. He didn't have to. He didn't have to. Like Cam Newton is a freak of nature. It's okay. Anyway, I look at the fact that Lamar Jackson when he gets into the inside the 10 is more than okay with turning around and handing the football off or throwing the ball into the end zone for a touchdown to one of his receivers. Like he's not looking to run, he's looking to buy time. And so either it's going to be Derk Henry on the handoff or it's going to be getting the ball in to Rashawn Baitman or um Mark Andrews who gets targeted way too much in the if I if you ask me. Um, like those guys are the guys that he normally hits somewhere close. It could be Lane this year because I think Lane's done a really good job of establishing the fact that he can be a red zone monster for them. So, that might be another guy there. But with Derek Henry, I think that that what helps him in being the Russian the Russian touchdown leader is the fact that he doesn't have well it's not the competition within his team. The the the running backs who are out in the market, they're not goal line backs. It doesn't mean that they're not going to get the ball on the goal line, but they're not the same type of goal linebacks. We're talking about him going against guys like Bean Robinson and Jir Gibbs and James Cook. Like those guys are going to get um Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley. Those guys are going to get touchdowns, but those guys are not necessarily the guys that are going to like just get fed the one yard plunge every single time because they're too valuable to to be putting in that type of of peril. Nobody's worried about putting Derek Henry into that type of peril because he is the peril. Like he is the danger, right? So I I think that helps him a lot. Also, nobody's no running back's winning this if you're on a team with a guy who who sneaks it. So, bye-bye James Cook, bye-bye Saquon Barkley. Um, possib like like possibly bye-bye to an Omaran Hampton who could be a low-key, you know, guy like any of those guys, you're probably not going to see it. I I like one guy for the play because of everything that's happened structurally. new OC that O line coach went away and I think that they're gonna almost say we're not calling this tush push on purpose unless you audible into it. Put a little money on Saquon Barkley at more than 15 extra money just because he doesn't have the competition and he could actually get a lot of rushing touchdowns this year if they just let So you so you like him for the rush rushing touchdown lead? I like him at where he's trading at right now 15x. I put a little money on it. They have a softer schedule early on that that number starts to move starts to move and you can see them kind of pivoting away a little bit from the tush push and actually giving him some of those goal line carries and that could actually big up his number early in the season and make that market move. I got you. I'm I'm on I'm on a little if I'm talking about a penny stock, I'm on Cam Scatabo as a penny stock. Um, I think he's going to get the the goal line carries. I think that this offense will have a lot more um red zone, you know, um, opportunities this year. I think they've really like like leaned into the rushing attack. I think to a certain extent they're not going to want to run Jackson Dart as much because you want to try to keep him healthy. Cam Scatabo is the answer there of all them. Even with Naji Harris, um I think Naji Harris, a lot of people tried to make Naji Harris, um you know, um King Henry, and he's not. Um they're not the same type of runners. I think Cam Scatabo is a guy who just wants all of the kind of all of the violence that you can give him. And so I' I'd be s I wouldn't be surprised. I sprinkle a little bit on Cam Scatabo, but it's almost too juicy, you know, Derrick Henry, getting Derrick Henry for what you're getting him at to not put some not put put some investment into him. But I agree with you. Um, as far as a rushing yards leader with Saquon Barkley, I think this could be a resurgent year for him as a rushing yards leader. I just don't know if if everything we're hearing about Jaylen Herz being in in some of the best shape he's ever been in and looking as athletic as he's ever looked, I I don't think it it equates into tush push, but I do think it can equate into more quarterback run game, which we didn't see as much last year as we've seen in the past. And I think that that would that would affect the the ability for Saquon Barkley to get into the end zone as much as as he should. But it's a it's it's a it's a good investment. It's a good look. Let's let's check out fourth quarter. and and you wanted to talk about this and at first I was like why are we talking about the NFC North and then I went oh that's why we're talking about the NFC North because the there's no bad teams in the NFC North that's why we're talking because this is a market that's going to yield a multiple X winner even if they're the favorite, right? Like because somebody's got to win, but when nobody's bad, that means the somebody that wins is guaranteed and so you got an opportunity to make a money. Tell me what you think about the NFC North and who's your favorite to come out of there. You you just brought it up. So, you want the most even situation for a division. We could have done the NFC South, but that one's starting to fray a little bit more and more. This is a situation where you can credibly make an argument for any of those teams. And the one I'm going to make is the we've discussed their players multiple times today. I think the Detroit Lions schedule was set up for them to have an excellent season. I don't think they're going to go 14 and three or 15-2, but they can actually accomplish that with how their schedule's laid out. I think they get a 12 and five record. I think they end up winning the division and it's what 2.73x right now. That's really good value because you're usually getting just your money back. Like you're not even winning anything in other areas. Now you're winning almost 2x what you would basically it's plus 200 that you're getting out here uh if you were in a another area in arena. Yeah. I mean, close they're they're they're considered, right? Considered the favorite, but the Bears are the sexy pick. And the Vikings have a defense and now have a quarterback that they think puts them in better position than the quarterback they had last year. So, people are kind of jumping back on their bandwagon. And Green Bay's never bad. So, nobody's jumped off the Green Bay bandwagon. All of them to to to their credit, all of them trading plus 20 cents a share, right? Vikings are 21 cents a share. Bears are 22 cents a share. I'm talking about on couchi right now. Um, Green Bay is 28 cents a share. Detroit Lions 35 cents a share. Again, you're getting multiple X your money regardless of where you you you put your investment at. Why would you not ride with the team that over the last few years has risen to the top of this division and doesn't show any signs of falling off at least offensively? And if it comes down to it's gonna be a firefight, which team which team which team's beating the Lions in a firefight, right? Like if it just comes down to your guys versus my guys, I'll take I'll take the Lions guys, right? Like even with even with Jared Golf there because it is it isn't a clutch game. If it's a clutch game, don't give me Jar Jared Golf. I mean, it's just a regular old regular regular regular season game and it's a firefight. Jared G will sit out there and throw five and six touchdowns in a game with no problem to to three different receivers. He'll he'll give St. Brown 147 targets in a game because, you know, he knows that that guy's going to catch 135 of them, right? Like, so, yep. From that standpoint, you want to have your the opportunity to get your money in a stock that is a well-known, wellrespected stock usually means you can't get back any type of, you know, profit. So, anytime you can get, you know, an Apple at a profit, anytime you can get uh a Costos at a profit, you you're going to go and get those stocks. It's the same thing here, right? You're going to get the Detroit Lions, who's owned the NFC South over the last few seasons, who still has all of their all of their players offensively, the the driving force behind that team. They're all in play. They're all healthy. They're good to go. Versus an NFC North that everybody has questions somewhere about what they're going to be, right? Like with the with Green Bay, it's or who's going to run the ball? How effective they going to be? In Minnesota, it's h how good is this quarterback? Will he be enough to get them back? In in Chicago, it's who's going to be the number one receiver? Um how healthy they are. Burden's heard. Adun's got a new normal. Everybody's jumped on the coast and Lovelin bandwagon even though he only really has like a four game sample where he was like good. So like there's there's questions everywhere else. There's no questions about the offense in in Detroit. Like everybody knows what's coming and it's a it's a pretty scary. Yeah. Just consider this the inside the outside bounds on each side of this. Correct me if I'm wrong. Two years ago, Detroit went 15 and two. Now, they lost in the playoffs, but we're not talking about the playoffs. Nope. Last year was their worst year and they went nine and eight. They went nine and eight. So, if you even just half it up, 12 and five again, that's probably going to win the division because not a lot of You can't have multiple 12 and five teams. They're probably going to win the division. Things set up beautifully for them. You can make some money here. Yeah. And the Bears, you can't you can't rely on the Bears to win every game by a last second touchdown that they got, you know, on a on a crazy play or like you can't rely on that to be the norm. You you have to think there's some regression coming because at some point those those things that that that slanted left are going to slant right. So, the most consistent in this group of teams, Detroit, and as long as they're giving the ball to, you know, giving the ball to Jir Gibbs and throwing the ball out there to their receivers, they'll be fine. Um, it's it's a great thing to to to get money in, revisit it half year, see if you've made a little bit on the investment. Um, maybe even throw some on another team. you know, you know, if you like if you like Chicago, throw a little something on Chicago since they're, you know, currently, you know, sitting as the third at 22 cents a share, you know, and and watch it and just see which stock is soaring the fastest. And if so, then, you know, cash out. That's always a good thing to cash out. I love to cash out. Let's get let's get to a little overtime action, CJ. Overtime. Overtime. And And just so you guys know, when we see you when we see you again on Monday night after Monday Night Football um next week, just know we'll start getting you ready on a week to week basis for our best plays of the week to come. um game plays. We we like to try to stay a little clear on week one because it is a bunch of football that we're just being theoretical about. We we haven't seen any of these teams play. We want to be respectful to that. Um, and not just give you plays just to say we gave you plays when we're we we very much work in real time and and and the way in which we we allow our investments to grow is by getting legitimate information in in real time that we see we can make projections for the future. So, um, you'll see a lot more of that next week as we as we continue on. These are some really good future plays to get into this week. But we do want to leave you with a couple little nuggets. CJ, best plays of the week. What's your best play of the week? Sight unseen because I try to not look at the scores, whether it's the spread or whether it's the overunder. Give me the over in the Saints versus the dog on Detroit Lions. I've seen both secondaries, especially at the corner position. I've seen both offenses. Their pace of play on both sides is very fast and they're playing indoors. Give me the over on that. No matter where it's set. So, so, so it's the it's the pace of play, right? It's the banged up secondaries. It's the perimeter weapons that both teams have. um before you even look at the line, right? What would you take an old like where would you take this at if you saw the line in there? Like where would you go? If it's this, I'm I'm I'm investing immediately. I would safely take it at 50 and a half, but I would even push that up to 53 and a2. safely taking it at 50 and a half would push it up to 53 and a half. When we come over over here to um to Koshi the over right now 49 a half um points scored is trading at 51 cents. Ladies and gentlemen, go and put your investment immediately in there. Go and do it right now as we speak. Right now. Don't even Don't even just pause this. Go throw the bread in there because I can guarantee you by what? What CJ? Wednesday. Wednesday this will be this will be 59%. It'll be 65%. the the line will be more like a 53 and a half if I have to, you know, make any, you know, make any any guesses about it. And it sounds like even if it was 53 and a half, it would be something that CJ would have to sit back and go, hm, they might just this a game like this has 60 points written all over it, right? Like if we're a game like this has a a 42 to to 28, right? Like am am I am I am I crazy to think like that? A 35 to 28 uh uh a 30 a 30 something to 20 something type of feel. I my my initial feeling in a projection standpoint, sorry Saints, I'm a fan, but Detroit 31 Saints 24 was my initial thought process on this game. 3124 Saints. I'm definitely getting in on that investment. Um I think that that's a Detroit. I I think that's a great call. I didn't even realize it until right now. I think that's a that's a fantastic call. Um that's Wow. 49 and a half right now. Goodness. A one:00 game, too. Like that's the [laughter] that's the that's the fun part. for a 1:00 game, you you have to love where you know where you're sitting at right here. Um I'm I'm going to a game that I that I think um a lot of people will be interesting interested to watch. Right. The Colts got rid of some really interesting players on defense this year. Um I don't know if they really replaced them, right? like they got rid of linebackers that I think are really good and I don't know if they I don't know if they replaced him with anybody that I'm like like like you're gonna have to watch out for him. And so it's a little it's a little concerning to me them going up against this Baltimore Ravens offense because I think and we've we've alluded to it before like Lamar Jackson can Lamar Jackson could could could go for all of the you know um all of the stats in the world unless they're 15 and one he's not winning, you know, or 15-2, excuse me. They're not winning. He's not winning MVP. I think he's going to make them prove it. I think that Lamar Jackson is coming for everything this year. I don't particularly think that the Colts have a great um defense. I don't think their offense is going to be prolific enough to keep him from like going crazy. Lamar Jackson to rush for 40 or more yards um is trading at 46% right now. And to me, I just a fully healthy guns loaded Lamar Jackson first game out the out the gate, I just think he he reminds people, yo, I'm me. And there's going to be one play where he probably runs for 30 something yards, 40 yards and then it'll be just the collective ones where he just picks up a little seven yard here or like I I think that's an easy line for me. I like that to go over. I would I would probably go at it at 50 yards. Um I think that this is And by the way, 50 yards is trading that 33 cents. Um, I I really think that Lamar Jackson is going to remind people that he's a two-time MVP. Should be threetime MVP. You know how good Lamar Jackson's season was when he didn't win the MVP, CJ? 41 touchdowns, four interceptions. Uh, Yep. It was pretty good. Yeah. so good that they gave him offensive player of the year, which they normally give to the wide receivers, as you so eloquently put it earlier in the seat, early in this in this in this show. He was so good that they had to give him an award. They knew they screwed him, so they were like, "We're going to make you first team allpro and we're going to give you offensive [laughter] MV I mean offensive player of the year." Like like how when was the last time you saw the MVP not be first team AllP Pro? I'm I'm not going to be able to comment on this because see that's what I'm saying. And I think that people have forgotten back to the original. Go ahead. Yes, I like the 40. I don't like the 50. And I'll briefly touch on why. I think you're right. He could have a massive run and especially the conditions are set. They have several rookies they're replacing those vets with. Right. That's one. They can be be easily fooled. The surface they're not playing on grass. They're going to be playing on that turf. New beast for those young guys to put up with Lamar Jackson. And three, the 40 once they get to a certain point, they won't run him as much. They won't need to, especially if they're over a certain amount. And it can be something I don't want to flirt with the following. He's got 53 yards and he takes three knees. I don't want to flirt with that. You're right. You're right. All of those are very all of those are very valid reasonings and why you always want to just for the record why you always want to be able to to you know ricochet this stuff off of somebody that isn't as close to it as you are or that is but is going to give you a different outlook on it because the 50 is is easily possible but there's also ways in which he could come just short of the 50 like 49 like 48 and and the the the knees I didn't even think about that. But the taking a knees one is a is an easy one where they lose some yards because I my whole thing was they don't have to worry about sack yardage in in in the NFL, which is what makes these plays better for rushing quarterbacks who normally will take a bad sack for seven and eight and nine yard losses, but those don't hurt their rushing stats. Um, but from the on the other side of that, you're right. If they're up and they decide to take him out, hey, you've done your job. Let's get Snoop in here and he's at he's at 42. Hey, you got the job done for 40, but now you're short 50. So, I definitely understand that. I definitely understand that. That's a great thing. Um, what are you looking for? What's the most what's the thing that you're looking forward to watching most this week? I guess now because football's like every day on Wednesday, Thursday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday. What's the thing outside of outside of your, you know, outside of your obvious, you know, hometown love? What are you looking forward to watching the most? I'm going to say this because I want to see if these two units are as good as people either say they are or as they are. Does Josh Allen finally solve how Houston attacks him? you know, the negative plays he has. Does he clean that stuff up? And this is a good time because they've had all off seasonason to work. So, he's got to be able to prove that. On the opposite side, this Houston continued that dominance. And with adding in more and more players now having a run stopper in the middle, are they as dangerous as we believe them to be? I think there's a a little bit of yes on both sides, you won't see as many negative plays from Josh Allen, but you also will see a really good game on Sunday between those two. Yeah, I think for me I'm I'm looking forward to seeing this iteration of the LA Rams defense. Like especially if we get Aaron Donald week one. It's so disgusting over there right now. Like Miles Garrett is Miles Garrett and I know like I have my problems with Miles Garrett and the way he plays like some of the stuff that he does um against the run, but who cares? that they don't really need him to for all of that. Like it wasn't like Jared Vers was over there playing the run really well, you know, like so they got a they got an infinitely better pass rusher that's going to give you probably similar rush defense numbers than the guy that you let go. Um, but Aaron Donald and especially just to see it all kind of come together, they went and stole Kansas City's entire defensive backfield, it seems like. So they went and said, "Hey, you know what? Those two corners, that one that you don't want to pay because he wants a lot of money, we'll pay him. And then that other guy that you kind of want, but you don't want to pay, we'll sign him, too." Like, [laughter] yo, you can't make this. I can't wait to see what this looks like in real time. I have a not hot hot take, if that makes any sense. 2024, Philadelphia, I believe, had like 70 sacks or something insane. I believe you're going to see a similar thing. Miles Garrett is going to flirt with 20, but you're going to see a Braden Fisk with with 10 and a half. You're going to see Young with 12 again in back-to-back seasons. You'll see Aaron Donald come in and get seven or eight because I think they're going to save him for the playoffs. You'll see Garrett end up with 13. You're going to see a bunch of sacks and they're going to go over 75 sacks this season. I think you see four I think you see four people with double digit sacks. I think you see four people with double digit sacks. That's how good. And then another couple with like five and six. Six. Yeah. Yeah. Like I think it's going to be nasty over there. I would not want to be a quarterback going against that team if they get a two touchdown lead. That's all. Just a two touchdown lead. I feel bad for for Jackson Dart because Jackson Dart doesn't know how to throw on time. He only knows how to throw when he's like moving. Why would you want to move versus this team? Get it out quick, big dog. Get it out quick. Week two. Throw the ball, young man. Throw the ball. Week two. It might be some blue tint love for um Jackson Dart. You know he loves the blue tent. He might he might fall in love all over again in that game. I'm I'm concerned. Ladies and gentlemen, um, make sure that you check out my guy, um, CJ, um, CJF Florida9.
