FanDuel Predicts NFL — Contracts & How It Works
FanDuel Predicts is FanDuel’s prediction market: NFL event contracts listed by CME Group and held through a CFTC-registered entity. It launched in states without legal sports betting and is expanding nationally. Here is what NFL markets are live, how the contracts settle, and how it compares to Kalshi.
What is FanDuel Predicts?
FanDuel Predicts offers NFL outcomes as event contracts listed by CME Group, with accounts held through FanDuel Prediction Markets LLC, a registered futures commission merchant. Each contract is a yes/no position settling at $1 or $0, priced as the implied probability. As federally regulated event contracts, they are available in states where FanDuel’s sportsbook is not.

Is it legal? How it works
FanDuel Predicts contracts are CME-listed and overseen by the CFTC — event contracts, legally distinct from sports betting. The product launched in a first wave of states without legal sports betting (Alabama, Alaska, South Carolina, North Dakota, South Dakota among them) and is rolling out more broadly through 2026, so the exact state footprint is still expanding.
How it compares to Kalshi
For US traders we still rate Kalshi first — it is the longest-standing CFTC-regulated exchange, lists the full NFL board in all 50 states, and is the venue our DAEPA model prices against on the /nfl/kalshi hub.
FanDuel Predicts NFL — frequently asked
Can you trade NFL on FanDuel Predicts?
Yes. FanDuel Predicts lists NFL event contracts cleared through CME Group, including game-level contracts and a multi-leg pro-football championship (Super Bowl) market. Each is a yes/no position settling at $1 or $0.
Is FanDuel Predicts legal? Which states?
It is a CFTC-regulated prediction market — the contracts are CME-listed and federally overseen, legally distinct from sports betting. It launched in a first wave of states without legal sports betting (including Alabama, Alaska, South Carolina, North Dakota and South Dakota) and is expanding nationally through 2026.
Is FanDuel Predicts the same as the FanDuel Sportsbook?
No. The sportsbook is a state-licensed betting product; FanDuel Predicts is a federally CFTC-regulated prediction market whose contracts are listed by CME Group. Different regulator, different mechanics, different state availability.
FanDuel Predicts vs Kalshi for NFL?
Both are CFTC-regulated event-contract venues. Kalshi carries the deeper, longer-running NFL board and 50-state availability, and it is the exchange our DAEPA model prices against for live edges. FanDuel Predicts is a natural fit if you already use FanDuel and live where its menu has rolled out.
