Three states elect a governor in 2027: Kentucky, Louisiana and Mississippi. This page shows the live Kalshi price on each party’s contract, read as an implied probability, with the dates and who holds the seat now. For the last cycle, see the 2026 results.
Louisiana votes first. All candidates run in one open primary, a majority there wins outright, and otherwise the top two go to the general. The Secretary of State says dates are subject to change by the legislature.

Kalshi prices update every 5 minutes. A price is what the market implies today, not a forecast from us. The 2028 slate is on the presidential hub and the Congress board.
Three: Kentucky, Louisiana and Mississippi. Kalshi lists a party contract on each, and the prices are on this page.
Kentucky and Mississippi vote on Nov. 2, 2027. Louisiana holds its primary on Oct. 9, 2027, and its general on Nov. 20, 2027, on the Secretary of State calendar, which says dates are subject to change by the legislature.
Andy Beshear of Kentucky and Tate Reeves of Mississippi are term-limited, so those two seats are open. Jeff Landry of Louisiana is eligible to run again.
Each state has a Democratic and a Republican contract. A contract pays $1 if a representative of that party is inaugurated as governor pursuant to the 2027 election and $0 if not, so the price reads as the implied probability that party wins.
