How this settles

Resolves YES if the maximum daily temperature recorded at New York City station CLINYC by The Weather Company meets the contract's specified condition (between a range, strictly above, or strictly below the threshold) on the settlement date.

• Inclusive range vs. strict inequality per variant — The 'between 84–85°F' variant is inclusive of both endpoints, while the '>92°F' variant is strictly greater than (hitting exactly 92°F resolves NO), and the '<84°F' variant is strictly less than (hitting exactly 84°F resolves NO) — the comparison operator differs across contracts in this series.
• CLINYC station, not a general NYC reading — Resolution uses The Weather Company's CLINYC station specifically; readings from nearby NWS stations, airports (e.g. KLGA, KJFK), or other providers may differ and are irrelevant to settlement.
• Maximum daily temp, not average or closing — Only the single highest temperature recorded across the full calendar day at CLINYC counts; intraday averages or end-of-day figures will not match if the daily peak spikes briefly.
• No revision policy stated — The rules name The Weather Company as the sole source but do not specify whether the initial reading or a later corrected/revised figure governs, leaving traders exposed if The Weather Company updates its historical data after settlement.
