How this settles
Resolves YES if the Federal Reserve's official website shows a federal funds rate upper bound strictly greater than 6.00% after the January 27, 2027 FOMC meeting.
- Strictly greater than, not ≥ 6.00% — A rate of exactly 6.00% resolves NO — the threshold is exclusive, so only a target above 6.00% (e.g., 6.25%) qualifies.
- Single meeting date, not year-end snapshot — Resolution is locked to the Jan 27, 2027 decision specifically; any subsequent 2027 meetings that might raise the rate further are irrelevant to this contract.
- Fed's official website is the sole data source — CME, Bloomberg, or other third-party rate feeds don't count — only the rate as published on federalreserve.gov determines settlement, so any data-source discrepancy matters.
- Upper bound only, not the target midpoint or lower bound — The FOMC sets a target range; this contract is tied exclusively to the upper bound of that range, not the lower bound or the effective/midpoint rate.
