Three supporting reasons follow. The home team dictates what happens in a Thursday night game, and Buffalo is opening its new stadium with points to prove. Buffalo can score however it wants, including on the ground, after James Cook's quiet Week 1. And Detroit knows it has to score, with one of the most aggressive head coaches in football going for it on fourth down and taking two-point attempts. Points will be scored in bunches even if both defenses play well, which neither host expects. A 70-point combined game, they argue, is not out of the realm of possibility.
