How this settles

Resolves YES if the federal funds rate upper bound published on the Federal Reserve's official website is strictly greater than 4.25% after the September 16, 2026 FOMC meeting.

  • Strict "greater than" threshold, not ≥An upper bound of exactly 4.25% resolves NO — only a rate above 4.25% (i.e., 4.50% or higher) triggers YES, so a hold at the current 4.25% ceiling is a losing position for YES holders.
  • Sep 16 may not be an FOMC meeting dateIf the Fed does not hold a scheduled meeting on September 16, 2026, resolution depends on how the market handles a non-meeting date — either the most recent prior rate applies or the contract could be voided/delayed, which is not addressed in the rules.
  • Official Fed website as sole data sourceOnly the rate published on the Federal Reserve's official website counts; any discrepancy between that publication and other sources (CME, Bloomberg, etc.) is irrelevant, so traders must monitor the Fed's site directly for the authoritative print.
