How this settles
Each contract in this series resolves YES if the 60-second simple average of CF Benchmarks' Bitcoin Real-Time Index (BRTI) ending at 8 AM EDT on the settlement date is strictly above, strictly below, or within a defined range threshold, depending on the variant.
- BRTI 60-second average, not spot price — Resolution uses the simple average of exactly 60 one-second BRTI prints immediately before 8 AM EDT — a smoothed value that can differ meaningfully from any instantaneous spot price at that moment.
- Strict vs. inclusive boundary comparisons — The 'above' variant requires strictly greater than the threshold (so landing exactly on it resolves NO), the 'below' variant is strictly less than its threshold, and the 'between' variant uses an inclusive lower bound and an inclusive upper bound (ending in .99) — traders must check each variant's exact inequality carefully.
- EDT timezone dependency — The 8 AM EDT anchor is fixed to Eastern Daylight Time; any clock confusion (e.g., treating it as EST or UTC) shifts the 60-second averaging window and could reference entirely different BRTI prints.
- CF Benchmarks BRTI is the sole data source — Only CF Benchmarks' official BRTI feed governs resolution — prices from other exchanges, indices, or aggregators are irrelevant, even if they diverge significantly at the settlement moment.
These are the rules for the whole series — every contract in it settles the same way. Full KXBTC settlement rules →
